Reunion 2002 Report
The date was
Saturday June 22nd 2002
Well, once again the day has passed and was a great success.
As always the day was organised and set up by a trusty band of helpers, led by Marianne. A heartfelt thanks is owed to all who put their time and energy into all the arrangements that such an event entails.
It is hard to estimate the number who attended but it was well above 250 with a strong contingent from Australia, a group of ex pupils who have formed a bond amongst themselves keeping in regular touch with each other via email. (I think they call themselves 'the crazy gang' and appear to be well named!)
The displays of memorabilia, photographs and other 'artifacts' all added to the success of the day and inevitably triggered some long lost childhood memories . There were many more team and group photographs than hitherto and these attracted a great deal of attention
Then of course there was the meeting up with old friends, the exchanging of memories, the catching up with news and the experiencing of that strange sensation that comes from walking around the building that was 'home' for an important period of our lives.
The service in the chapel was refreshing in that I suppose of all places it held an unforgettable part of our lives there. The chapel is also the one place that has changed the least and seeing the familiar stained glass windows with their unchanging images really takes you back in time.

It only remains to thank again all who helped in any way to provide us with a successful and stimulating reunion and hope that the next one can be held in 2004.
